Gabriella De Leon studies journalism and Spanish with a specialization in translation at the University of Nevada, Reno. She’s also a social media consultant, a tutor and a freelance journalist. When not at school or at work, she’s at home relaxing with my cat, making art, or volunteering.  She plans on becoming a bilingual political journalist.

She hopes her coverage of the 2016 presidential campaigns educates and informs the local. Monica is willing to experiment in order to gain a diversified audience and make the best out of the resources available to inform the public. Natalie Van Hoozer is a junior at the University of Nevada, Reno. She is majoring in journalism and Spanish. Born in Reno, she loves languages and expanding her cultural awareness. She reports for the bilingual news organization Noticiero Móvil and this summer she will be the Business News Intern at Reno Public Radio. In the spring of 2017 she plans to study abroad in Madrid, Spain. One day, she hopes to be a bilingual journalist and travel the world. In her free time, she likes running, hiking with her dog, playing piano and writing short stories. READ BLOG
